OUR PHILOSHOPHY

All the team of people that make Farcedo possible work to offer our customers products of the Mediterranean diet made with natural ingredients. We follow the artisan recipes learned from our grandparents, but as we know that times change and also how to feed ourselves, we have adapted our products to the new times, making them healthier; How ?, selecting even more carefully the lean with which we make our sausage and thus reducing its fat content. Result, products with the original flavor of all the life, rich in oleic acid, monounsaturated fatty acids that help to control cholesterol levels and prevent cardiovascular diseases, antioxidant vitamin E that delays aging, vitamin B1, B6, B12 and acid Folic that is beneficial for the nervous system. So this is the reason why we say that in Farcedo we take care of your health and that of yours.

We work hard to offer our clients products that form the cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet, all of which are made with natural ingredients rich in fatty acids that help to control cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular disease. Farcedo’s products also contain vitamin E, an important antioxidant that slows aging, vitamins B1, B6, and B12 as well as folic acid, which may be key in maintaining a healthy nervous system. At Farcedo we care about your health and the health of your family.

We also create moments of passion, by sharing Spanish ham culture with those beyond our borders and turning it into an experience for the senses. We take great pains to calculate the optimum curing time of each of our piece so that they have the taste and aroma, which characterize only the highest quality Iberian and not Iberian products made in Extremadura (Spain).

We strive to combine traditional and natural handicraft techniques with an investment in the latest cutting-edge technology in food safety. As such, our products undergo exhaustive veterinary exams, PH and acid controls whose result is a healthy product that is 100% natural and safe in addition to possessing Food Safety Certificate ISO 22000.

HOW WE BECAME FARCEDO

1963 – Our grandparents had a small family charcuterie in Hornachos (Badajoz) Extremadura – Spain. There, the alma mater of the current FARCEDO project, Francisco Acedo Galan, began to learn the trade.

1970 – The restless and observant character of Francisco Acedo Galan led him to take the products from his parents’ charcuterie, taking them to the farmhouses of Extremadura and thus beginning the commercialization of sausages, hams and Farcedo pallets locally.


1981 – Constitution of Farcedo as a company. The conjugation of the name of its founder Francisco Acedo gives rise to the name of the brand and we add an ‘R’ to give strength to the name and thus transmit the whirlwind of energy and motivation that moves us since then. We could say that the name was the result of an exhaustive work of an advertising company, but it was not like that, it was the idea of ​​the inseparable travel mate of Francisco, our mother, Carmen.

1985 – Farcedo begins to market its products regionally.

1997 – In this year we take another leap forward and build new facilities and with the entry of the second generation, we begin our opening to the national market.

2006 – With the restless character inherited from our parents, the second generation of Farcedo began to market our products in international markets. Europe, China, Hong Kong … there we go!

2008 – We created the Momentum selection product line for the marketing of our products in the Gourmet channel.

Currently Farcedo takes care of the feeding of Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, British, Swiss, Swedish, Norwegian and Honkonian families.
